Corporate support "If I ever did one good thing …." said Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann about his pioneering use of sports in the rehabilitation of disabled people. How would your company complete this sentence? If you struggle to find an answer, then read on. At NPHT we invest a lot of effort in using our Paralympic collection items as the basis for educating people on disability issues and promoting diversity, equality and accessibility for all. After all, there’s no point in keeping our amazing sporting heritage in boxes. We want to build partnerships with companies who share our vision of the future: one where everybody and every body has access to the same spaces, opportunities and experiences. We were all born human, so celebrate diversity and difference with us and ensure that disabled people are welcomed into your company as both employees and customers. NPHT is uniquely placed to be able to inspire you and your employees and challenge your understanding of disability, using our Paralympic heritage. We have developed a Corporate Awareness Away Day, aimed at companies looking for a creative way to address equality, diversity, and inclusion at work. It includes a chance to listen to the inspirational story of how the Paralympics were born in Stoke Mandeville, an opportunity to help NPHT with some of our voluntary work within our collections, and some competitive sporting teamwork. Visit the Corporate Away Day page for more details. Team from the British Paralympic Association with the statue of Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This is a new club for businesses aspiring to meet their own goals on equality, diversity and inclusion, with a little help from us. It provides a structure to work within, breakfast meetings with Paralympians and built in support from our Education team. We are about to embark on our ambitious new five year strategy, where we aim to reach one million more people with our message and our goal to be seamlessly inclusive. If you want to join us on our journey, and be able to answer the question at the start, please get in touch.
